Just saw these found paper stitched garlands over at decor8 and had to investigate further. AWESOME.
And then I found these festive holiday-themed paper garlands over at 3GIRLSandagoat:
And THEN I found this little gem of a paper garland over at Bookity, constructed from pages of Shakespearian plays!!!!
Can you freakin’ STAND it?!?!? I want to drape my apartment in these things. And maybe my mini Christmas tree, too. Oh, and PS) there are also Shakespearian tree ornaments:

I have tons of crafty ephemera-related projects flitting happily (and impatiently) around my head, awaiting the completion of my d@mn dissertation so that I can finally focus on my artsy side without feeling guilty. Or at least, without feeling more than 90% guilty.
Anyway, a lot of those imminent projects involve packaging that involves baker’s twine. I went to one of my favorite local stationer/pen shops today but, much to my dismay, no twine. Not sure what the deal is there. But it prompted an Etsy search. Which prompted a cornucopia of delicious eye feasting…
So, here you go…

I was looking back through my photos a little bit ago, and I realized that I’m a total loser (well, ok, technically I already knew this) because I had intended to post a bunch of other images from Un fil sur la toile for my French Friday post on 12/5, and then I got sidetracked and forgot. So… I feel compelled to include them here, as a sort of amended French Friday post (on Sunday). Sorry for the confusion. But, let’s face it, as long as cool images are posted, does it really matter the reason?!
So, once again, allow me to tout Un fil sur la toile for its awesomeness… as represented by the images below:
