Get organized.

A new semester starts tomorrow for me. I wish I had these awesome items from Present Correct to help me get organized:

In the time it just took me to create this post, I probably could have been prepping my first class tomorrow. But this is so much prettier.

🙂

Over the holidays…

While I was in Ohio for the holidays, I finally had the time to create and mail my holiday cards. I am fortunate to have an extremely awesome step-father who is an artist and stamp collector, and he provided me with tons of old stamps to use for my envelopes (he also told Santa to stash stacks of canceled vintage stamps and postcards in my stocking).

{ My holiday cards. Kind of hard to tell, but they’re cardstock cut into stocking shapes, and then I stamped them and adhered scalloped-edged paper cut-outs and baker’s twine and… a bit much, but fun. 🙂 }

{ Envelopes for my holiday cards, including stamped and handwritten tags plus old postage stamps. }

Also, a friend/colleague of mine asked me to hand-letter her wedding program, menu, and place cards for her winter snowflake-themed nuptials. So I had fun creating those as well, although I worried that they ended up a bit too “busy” with all the text. But Catherine said she liked them, so I was happy.

{ Place cards, twined up according to table #. }

{ The whole collection. }

I am realizing that these photos aren’t the best quality. Casualty of being away from home.

Hope you all had a very happy holiday and that the new year is off to a stellar start!

Wordshop Wednesday: ImagineArt7

ImagineArt7 offers a huge inventory of vintage paper goodies that I absolutely want to raid as soon as possible. You might want to do the same.

And there plenty more where that came from, trust me. No, seriously: like, 29 pages more. See them all HERE.

Holiday Items!

For some reason, I have only just now discovered how to make photo collages (via Picasa). I feel extremely slow. This whole time, I’ve felt like I’ve been uninvited to some exclusive photography party. Anyway, I’m excited. So, I just made a few collages of pages from my newly listed Holiday Paper Clips Journal on Etsy. I had way too much fun making this, and I’d love to have a ton of fun making more, so please order!

Lots of pages to keep track of gifts you’re giving, gifts you want to receive, gifts that totally elude you…whatever! And I make sure to include lots of usable gift tags, decorative pages, stickers, envelopes, and some vintage items too (including an addressed/stamped Christmas postcard from the 1910s! I have a handful of them, and they’re so fun to look at!).

Each holiday journal will also include one of my hand-sewn, hand-stamped “fa la la” button gift tags.

Check out my entire collection of holiday items and their descriptions in my Etsy shop HERE. And stay tuned for more! I’m planning on creating a couple kid-centric holiday listings soon…

Blues and yellows…

Blue and gold were my high school colors.

These blues and golds, featured over at Decor8 today, are much prettier. They’re even awesomer when mixed with tape and type.
